My name is Gloria Kelley and I joined Chef Talk in 2009 although only show 4 posts at that time. Life got in the way and I never got back onto the site until a couple of days ago. So glad to be back. I love to cook and eat so I do manage to cook everything I eat and, Lord knows, I eat everything I cook. Hope to stay with you this time.
. How are things in Vegas ? I have not been there in a while.
Last time I went there were so many hotels built next to one another that when one walked in the street you could hardly see the sun. One hotel lobby led right into another. At times I did not realize what hotel I was in but its a great place. Good friend of mine opened a steak house there Its called The Palm.
Things are great in Vegas ed. I'm surprised you posted that you were able to walk from one hotel lobby to the other since the hotel properties are very far apart. People who come here and don't rent cars don't realize that the hotels really are not right next door to each other. But they built several new hotels since you've been here so the gap is becoming smaller and smaller. LOL
It's still that way Ed. Temperatures are creeping up into the 90s now and will hit 100° in May and go up from there. Last year I had a Koi pond built in my yard and the temperature the day they installed it was 117° and stayed that way for the three days it took them to finish the project. I don't know how they do it. But I guess as you know " ...if you can't stand the heat…"
