I hope all Mother's enjoy the day.
I am a substitute Mom this week for our grand nephews and I woke up to find this.
Are these kids the sweetest or what?

The UK had Mothering Sunday(aka Mother's Day in modern, Americanised parlance wink.gif. ) a few weeks ago. The date is set as one of the Sundays in Lent. It predates Mother's Day by centuries biggrin.gif

But, good wishes to Mums in the USA!

@Pollopicu I'm from Kaneohe, I live in AZ now, Kane means man and I am a woman...

k~girl will do fine thank you

I know that's what Kane means....

It was unnecessary for you to correct me in all caps when I was speaking to Joey, and was asking Joey the question... I accidentally misspelled her name.. I've called her Joey before, didn't realize you were her sentinel. I think you watch me a bit too closely, and it's becoming a bit unnerving.

No, i am now back in southwest colorado for the summer or whatever season this is!! forecast temps tonight in the low teens, (11 to 14 )....more ironic than funny is that i spent the last 5 1/2 months in california dodging the winter....thought i was doing pretty well up until now...as always, timing is everything.
nice gifts....shrimp anything so works for me and a bottle of 'right now' wine and good weather is always loved and appreciated.

If you feel you're getting moderator attention, that's a good clue you should self moderate your behavior here.

Said attention stems from user complaints mostly.

Seriously? you're going to read her remark, and tell me I need to self moderate..? The attention is becoming an obvious personal fixation. There was really no need for that.

Yes, seriously, and not because of that remark or this thread.

Well, I'm talking about that remark. That had nothing to do with moderating, whatsoever.

If you as an admins have a problem with me on the board, address it to me personally, but please don't allow moderators to behave passive aggressively with snide comments towards members. A moderator should be setting an example, instead of fueling animosities. Sometimes moderators need to be moderated themselves.

Sometimes.

All the same, remember that jokes and sarcasm really don't come across in plain text. It's generally better to avoid that style of discourse as it works poorly here with our international membership base.

Speaking strictly from my own personal experience, many times my bull headed insistence on having the last word have led to heightened aggressive situations. On the flip side, when I let things go, then it doesn't become a situation at all.

I feel somewhat incredulous at the moment. I'm still trying to figure out how this went from me accidentally misspelling Joeys name, to having a moderators poor behavior deflected on me... to being accused of displaying sarcastic behavior on other parts of the forum..

This isn't about this thread. This thread is just the action moment. You've received other warnings and pms before on this sort of topic before.  Reign it in.

ok, just so I have this straight, Kane snarkily corrected my spelling of Joey's name, (although I wasn't speaking to her) because I was being disciplined for my behavior on the board...in general. Got it.
