Bannock bread?

I'm going backpacking in a couple days and I'd like to make this 'bannock bread' I've heard of. I've gotten completely mixed reviews when I ask about it so I was hoping someone here could give me a decent, easy recipe. Tried posting this in the camp cook section but that forums kinda dead

Bannock is a Scots word. Here's a fairly standard recipe from the rampantscotland website
http://www.rampantscotland.com/recipes/blrecipe_bannocks.htm

Selkirk bannock, once a specialty of the town of Selkirk, but now found all over Scotland is a sweeter, fruited and spiced bannock.
