Air travel with knife bags

Packing my knifes in checked luggage for a stage, any experiences with checking knife bags in luggage ?

Yeah....just did it for my trip to WA. No problems at all. Checked? Yes? Carry on NO!!

As long as they are in checked luggage, it is no issue. You cannot carry them on the plane.  I used to ship knives to the destination hotel via Fedex so they were waiting as a guest package.

I bought a CCK 1301 cleaver in Singapore recently. No packing material aside from the brown paper wrap and the clothes around it in my checked bag. No problems, no questions, no hassle. The moral of the story? You can even have loose knives knocking about in your bag as long as you dont' take 'em in the cabin...

multiple trips from the us to and from europe and central america. messermeister simple knife roll and no issues out of the maybe 20 times now.
