Thread Starter

My name is Victoria Lopez. I recently moved to Fort Myers, Florida from Saint Louis, Missouri. I've been baking professionally for five years now. My goal is to master every aspect of the pastry and baking world. I've recently worked for an eccentric, high volume doughnut shop in Saint Louis and personally developed their menu as well as a vegan doughnut menu. Before that, I was the pastry chef/ lead prep cook at a small vegan/ vegetarian cafe.

After moving to Florida, I found a gig making New York style bagels. I found out recently, that after 30 years in business, I am the first female baker ever hired by that establishment.

I'm looking for community and honestly, a mentor. Being a younger female in this vast and complex industry has been very challenging. I want to make sure I am making the right choices for shaping my career.

Any and all advice and constructive criticism is welcomed.

Thank you for reading my awkward introduction.
