Best Job Resources

Other than Craigslist, what are the best outlets to find culinary jobs. Relocating to a new city and although I have leads and a resume that can get me in any restaurant, I want to explore all options.

Try poachedjobs.com, they are only in like 5 cities, though

And of course, local papers do have classifieds still.

If you only send your CV to places that are advertising you may miss out on a situation where Chef is just waiting for a good replacement before showing the idiot on grill the door.

Print up a handful and go pass them out at every kitchen cooking the food you want to do.

Get a haircut, trim the beard (clean under those fingernails lol) put on something nice and go press the flesh.

Have you looked at our job listings? The careers tab on the top right?

Would love to work for a place that has some kind of community involvement. Not necessarily looking to leave the kitchen fully, but would love to pay it forward. Thanks for the advice so far guys.

@ TremeChef  How about your church kitchen, shelter of all sorts and senior centers.   Most all towns and cities have desperate need for volunteers in these places and could use your experience.

I have and am thinking about that, but Id love to be able to make a living doing such. My family has always been good to others when they can be, and I feel more of a call of giving back than to excel in a James Beard-esque kitchen. I love to cook but I just feel like if you can give back you should. Unfortunately, we all still have to make money to survive. Im not religious, I just believe that people should have opportunities in life.
