Commercial looking gas range

Thread Starter

I need to get a range.  I want a home gas range like I have now but the look on the outside of a commercial one.  Do they exist?    I don't need a commercial stove.  I am a home cook.  I just want it to look commercial doing the job of a regular home range.  Please help.  Thank You kindly in advance.

Do you have a budget in mind?  Something like ten brands sell lines with a "commercial" appearance.

www.ajmadison.com is a good place to start an appliance search.  They have pictures.

Commercial look is mostly about stainless steel, heavy continuos grates and large knobs. Most brands will have something in that style, but you'll pay a premium for the look.

Why not just get a small used commercial range ? you can get them on Ebay for nothing. I had one on my old house I bought it used and it looked amazing,

Have to watch out for a lot of things with a commercial range; some insurance companies won't cover it, they're not insulated the same, they have different gas & hood requirements. All this information i got from threads on this site; if anybody is thinking about a commercial range for their house, they should do a quick search on here

That is great information. I had no idea about the insurance mine was not affected. But I'm sure had my home burned down I would have found out really fast ;)

I had mine all set up when I bought the house and I did a remodel on my kitchen I had to have all equipment so they could size all my counters. Best to leave it to certified contractors.
