Thread Starter

Years ago I had recipe for a compound butter we used in Switzerland on steaks and I lost it .All I remember was that there were 4 herbs. One of the herbs was used twice, (2 parts),while the other 3 were  used only once ( 1 part ).

Does anyone of you now what I am looking for ?

Thats honestly a bit vague considering the fact that recipes of compound buuter with herbs to me almost limitless.

I think you should maybe try to remember the flavors of the dish etc... and maybe attempt to replicate it that or make maybe a better compound butter recipe.

Their are thousands of herb butter recipes and maybe millions of compound butter recipes around google.

Well, some of the more commonly used herbs in herb butters are rosemary, thyme, basil, and oregano.  I am guessing that the herb butter you are looking for used more exotic herbs?
