I'm just guessing but my dad called them files for the hedge trimmer

Someone showed me these and they thought they were common knife sharpening equipment, the really used one is very old...

Probably re purposed.

Anyone else ever see these before?

Carborundum is the old name. I did some searching. Silicon carbide stone.



I guess these aren't used much in kitchens anymore?

Sorry to post here (not a pro), but there's a guy in Spain that makes natural stone rods with a steel core and in different grits.
