We are starting a small Deli and would like to solicit opinion for a simple menu items for a relatively low volume place in a rural setting (it will be a country store + deli)


I know hot dogs, pizza and sandwiches may not sound exciting to many here, and we are willing to spice it up once we get established (daily/weekly specials, and or seasonal items). Our overall goal is to start with a small menu (and hopefully do it well) and expand it based on experience and demand.


We both cook regularly and have experience in customer service on different level, but no experience in food service industry.


Is this the right forum, or would you recommend we go elsewhere. Would you recommend any other resources?
