Help everyone I found my love for cooking late in life (as in 2 months ago) I'm 27. I do however have a good start. No culinary school just diving straight in and I got lucky and earned a job at one of the best up and coming tapas bars in the nation Cúrate in Asheville NC. excited to read the forums and learn from you all.

Welcome Future Chef glad to have you. I am a big fan of people working in the industry over going over to culinary school. Are you switching out of another career?

Thanks,

Yes. I've been in security and fighting professionally most of my life. From wrestling to MMA to working at the NSA before leaving the military. Now I was looking for direction upon leaving the army and found cooking. It works well for me because fighting and the military relate well to cooking as far as passion, creativity and work ethic goes. I love it and I'm happy to work my way up. I currently work for Cúrate in Asheville NC where I will be for a few years learning the ropes.
