Post your jack-o-lantern!

I know this is nothing fancy but even as a big kid I enjoy putting a jack-o-lantern out on the fence. Luckily I recently got a decent boning knife and just free handed this after looking at ideas online. Anyone roast the seeds with a sprinkle of salt?

Love those sculpture pumpkins! That takes serious work but I really love how using different levels of relief you can "paint" using the light from inside the pumpkin!

Oh wow that's fantastic. I always see these pumpkin sculptures and I kinda want to take a crack at doing one this year. What kind of tools did you use?

You can order special tools from Ray Villafane Studios. Or look for clay sculpting tools at a craft store. I re sharpened mine with a dremel tool and a stone. Scalpels and other knives help too. Oh and a thai style carving knife. Vegetablefruitcarving.com has a lot of resources ad well, Nita there sells For Villafane too.

I might start another tonight monkey man there is pretty much rotted on my step now.

Here is my carving set:

That is steel wool on the bag, it is the key to smooth features.
