I just read an article advising to roll out the dough for the lattice to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Seems a little too thick...???
Any comments appreciated.
Try it, eat it, see if you like it. 1/4 inch isn't that thick for well made pastry.

You can always work your lattice right to the edge.
