Hello guys!

I'm a new professional cook in a small coffee shop in northern province of Quebec. I am a self-taught chef who has received much of his education by my colleague over the past year. And, as you may noticed... english is not my native language ;)

Welcome, Alebelanger! Bienvenue--- For many of our members English is not the first language. We understand that and appreciate the effort of taking part here en Anglais. I would have a serious problem if I wanted to participate in a cooking community in French, as rusty as it is for me.

You will find a warm welcome here and I hope you enjoy taking part. Be sure to read the cooking articles, equipment reviews, etc. There is a great deal here besides the discussion forums, as wonderful as they are.

Good luck in your enterprise. We look forward to seeing you here often.

Best regards,
Mezzaluna

Yeah! it's called the Café Cambio wich is at the base a micro roastery in the town of Saguenay. We have, i'll say, about 80 seats (pretty small). I kinda like to work there because we have free hand on the daily menu. I can order any kind of product I want from our main provider and cook the dish I want for about 15 to 20 portions. Pretty cool! Last friday I made a Dahl and they loved it!
