In the quest to increase our per-batch capacity without breaking the bank on a Globe SP8, we are strongly considering the Ankarsrum,
which seems to be highly regarded by our own kokopuffs, and has a loyal following on the various bread forums.
Is there any functional difference between the machines bearing the various labels and between vintages? I've seen some on (that online auction site) that appear to perhaps not have the second hole to accommodate the scraper and dough hook at the same time.
Is there really a need (knead) for the 600 Watt version or is the 450 sufficient to push a 2 Kilo batch of sticky rye sourdough, or enough cake batter to fill a 16" square pan?
