Christmas cake

I'm new to this and am currently making my very first Christmas cake. At the moment I am soaking my fruit and tomorrow I will add it to my dry ingredients. Here's my question, do I add of the liquid that the fruit is soaking in. Sorry if it's a stupid question but I just don't know.

Yes.  There generally isn't too much liquid anyway after soaking the fruit.


What you soaking with?  I generally us bourbon.
