I am new to the forum and wanted to know any pointers for someone self taught just starting out in an internship. I currently do private dinners for people and My dad was a Chef for many years, but at this time I cannot afford to go to culinary school. However, I'm saving for it. This weekend I started my first internship with two Chef mentor of mine helping prep and cook basic things and learning my way around the kitchen.
Any pointer on good brand of knife sets to buy or other pointer for someone just starting out?
