Starting into my culinary career!

I am very, very excited to begin this new career path.  Having always worked in Hospital/Institution line, branching into Restaurant work is hella exciting!  I start culinary school in 8 days, and am both excited and scared.  At 46 starting a new career path, and wondering,  "What am I doing!"   I fret not for my work ethic as with all these young buds.   May age preserver!!

Glad to hear it! Are you getting any hands on yet or just classroom at this point?

So far it's only classroom, but honestly, it's rewarding in its own way. Plus the peps in the hands on class bring us trays of food!!!

It's all important, plus you are getting the bennies of trays of food :) How cool is that? A big part of being a chef is being well rounded in all aspects of the industry, not just the hands on stuff.
