Hello fellow friends on Chef Talk, I've been cooking for about 7 years and I'm on my way to culinary school this year filled with much excitement. I randomly stumbled across this site whilst looking for an upgrade of my current hardware and to delve really deep into this part of the culinary world. I ordered myself a Wusthof 8" chef knife the other day (I get a good discount from Williams-sonoma) along with a wusthof paring knife and a knife rack. I'm hoping to read up on a lot and getting some advice on where to start to finish up complementing my set up which include: Cutting board, Knife for my lady to use and a sharpening stone. Looking forward to learning much, Nice to meet you guys!

Welcome to ChefTalk glad to have you. What culinary school are you attending? There are some great discussions in the knife forums and there are a few reviews of the Wusthof.

Greetings MC, there's a wealth of information in the archives as well as recent posts, on every subject related to food, don't skip the monthly challenges for good ideas, and I guess we'll be seeing you over at the kitchen knives forum soon.
