Pickled mushroom question

Hi ,

I made a very nice pickles mushroom recipe from Lu Chows the book about the Great German restaurant. The marinade consisted of White wine 2 cups , Apple cider vinegar 2 cups, onion, bay leaf ,some other things I can't remember. I made it about two weeks ago and I still have the marinade and finished the 1 pound of mushrooms. My question is, can I reuse the marinade with new mushrooms? the mushrooms need to cook in the marinade about 20 minutes  or should I start from scratch with the new ingredients?

Thank you .

Boil the marinade first then you should be good to go.  I guess I should say I'm not a scientist or anything but I've done this many times and I'm still alive.

From a safety standpoint I don't think there is a problem especially if you boil your marinade first, but I don't know that you will get the same flavor that you would from a new batch.  The mushrooms will have absorbed a considerable amount of the flavor of the marinade and in return added some of their flavor.  Just thinking that the flavors will end up being a little muddled by using the marinade twice.  Don't think it would be bad though so maybe worth a try.
