Tender Greens is looking for a Pastry Cook to create tasty treats that will have our customers dreaming of cookies, and brownies, and cakes, oh my! Come make our workplace a little sweeter!

We are looking for someone with a passion for creating exemplary pastries, a pro-active and "can do" attitude. The ideal candidate will be detailed, creative, dedicated, focused, very skilled and FUN to work with. Job responsibilities:
  • Responsible for preparing baked goods
  • Ability to follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing items
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measure, mix, wash, peel, cut and shred food items
  • Stock, date, rotate and check temperature of product
  • Responsible for presentation of baked goods
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
  • Commit to producing high quality products
Desired qualities and skills:
  • A culinary degree with a concentration in pastry
  • Must be able to effectively communicate information orally and in writing
  • Must have an understanding of how to use email as an effective means of communication
  • Minimum one year experience
  • Demonstrated fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Must be able to handle sharp knives, utensils and ovens in a safe manner
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • High level of resourcefulness and initiative, be a results oriented individual
  • Have strong, positive interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work as a team member and lend a hand to colleagues when needed
  • Proactive and resourceful in solving problems, detail oriented and energetic
  • Must have valid food handler's certification
