First annual family cookoff tomorrow. Wings, ribs, quarters, and fajitas.

I woke up this morning, cooked breakfast; went to work, cooked a Friday lunch rush; got home, prepped and marinated about 25lbs of meats, then cooked dinner for the boys. Cooked all week, all day today, and will cook all damn day tomorrow. I don't know if it gets any better than this...

I. Will. Win.

^^You are correct. We cooked all day then at 430pm, the storm came through.

Only a few of us endured the deluge and kept cooking. The others went screaming for cover into my poor uncle's house.

At least a couple of the contestants had the minds to cover their grills before they took off running.

The event was a LOT of fun.

I lost. I don't know how (yes, I do), but I did.

After the storm, there was an entire front patio full of kids splashing around and a front patio full of adults at varying degrees of sobriety having one hell of a time.

It was decided that it would become an annual event. It will be a part of my life. No matter how skewed the judging, it shall be fun.

To see the family having such a good time is intoxicating.
