Just some quick background, I was an army MP who cooked poorly for my shift, lots of tuna and hamburger helper. College and law school not much better, I even burned spaghetti sauce one time after we got married.


The last 15 years I have gotten better, cooking classes, lots of Alton Brown shows, and experience. I cook for family and few friends at a time, and I am pretty good --but not really good or great.


I really like my cast iron for indoor meat, Kitchen Aid for all my mixing, blending, and ice cream, and my Weber smoker and grill. Sur la Table is fun to window shop, but I am building equipment slowly, knives and pans right now.


I am terrible with dough.


I love brewing beer, IPA variants in particular, and have a home draft system.
