Why is there no Cracker Barrel in California?

Why are there no biscuits in the northern states?

What food type differences do you notice?

Have never been off North America, I could only imagine the different types of eating habits in other countries.

I spoke with a man born in China, we talked a while, I ask what are major differences in US and China? One of the main differences he thought was diet, he thought americans were very limited in their food choices,.......he pointed out that we just eat the meat fillet off a fish......they must eat most all the fish in China. He really thought it odd that americans only eat chicken and beef.

What do you think?,......what differences do you notice?

There are plenty of biscuits in the northern states.

But that's a good question about Cracker Barrel. I'll bet they would do good in Fresno or Barstow. Maybe even in Victorvillle or Palmdale or 29 Palms. Perhaps Hemet. But probably not Indio or Yermo.

Bisquits are officially a "trend" here in Seattle, with atleast two places I can think off selling little else. Regional food in this country comes down to what you're accustomed too. For example, I absolutely hate velveeta and american cheese but my east coast friends love them.

   Dang Ready Freddy, you've gotta stop visiting chains when you visit other areas!  

 

   Go in to the fishing ports, to the farm areas...find various slaughter houses, orchards, etc, etc, etc.  There's plenty to see...but the chains are taking over.  Find out what's local and what's in season.

I am fine with there being no crackle barrel here in California lol. I experienced crackle barrel in Utah and that was all I need. However, Indio or any of the places on coachella valley may benefit from a crackle barrel during the snow bird season.

I have only traveled the west coast of our country but from what from I have seen in videos or read about; the Chinese and Japanese will think nothing of eating a fishes head that was cooked and placed on their plate. Japan doesn't have the same issue with poultry that we have and I have seen videos of they serving chicken sashimi or cooking to a med rare O.o.

I would say our industrial farming that is the cause all the sickness in the foods we eat are a big factor as to why we are afraid to eat certain things. However, that really only explains why we eat chicken well done, and why our breeds of commercial pigs are considerably leaner than heritage breeds like Berkshire. I wonder why lamb and the older mutton isn't very popular or why so many people have issues with things like sweet breads.
