Thread Starter

Sorry for the delay, but I've been in a vice for a while now - and in a different time zone. . .

Anyway, too many excellent entries!!  After much deliberation and hand wringing, the winner of this month's soup challenge is. . .

Hank. Because, well, all of them.

Honorable Mention to :

Mikey M  - I'd eat that pozole in a heartbeat.

Mike9  - Venison neck soup. Enough said.

Totte - There is no way you've only made soup twice!!

ChefBuba - Split Pea w/Ham Hocks looks great.

KingNothing - Great color and consistency!!

Ok, everybody gets an honorable mention except me!!!

Thanks for participating folks!

Wow, I am truly honored and humbled to be chosen.  Thanks you all for the kind words.

So now I have to pick the next challenge, right?  I'm not even sure where to begin.  I will decide by tomorrow morning at the latest.

Thanks again,

Hank

Congrats Hank, well done!

I've been lazy in this challenge and i am using the same excuse as Ordo.
It's just been too hot here.

Looking forward to the next challenge

Am I late? Yesterday I made some corned beef, not cured, just pretty much beef brisket simmered with Penzey's corned beef spices and salt for 4 hours.

Today I used the broth from it and made soup adding a lot of mushrooms. I put some Tillamook sharp cheddar chunks in a bowl, added some of this soup and let the cheese melt. It's yum.

Maybe a bit late. I made my first batch from this year's harvest, a lovely basil and bacon tomato soup. Very good.
