Continuing Education

Hi, I have a pastry backround but i've been working as a Reasearch and Development Chef in the manufacturing industry for the last few years. I am looking for suggestions for continuing education opportunities in the Chicagoland area or online. Also, I was wondering what associations would be worth it to join and why. Thanks for your imput!

Although I would love to take all the pastry classes. I'm not really on that career path anymore frown.gif
I was thinking maybe more along the lines of certifications...?
