You can make cookies.

The Grands wanted to bake yesterday (I guess none of the 8 doughs currently resting in reefer appealed to them lol) :eek:

 

I seldom tell them no when it comes to the kitchen so asked to see their recipe.

Should not have been surprised when they whipped out something downloaded from Pinterest.

One box of DH (devils food if you are keeping score ;-)...eggs....oil (I had them use melted butter)...stir it up....portion out...bake.

The first batch was way too soft IMO so had them add a few min onto the suggested time.

Much better.

 

They are all about following recipes to a "T" (good listeners lol ) but were accepting re some chunked dark and white chocolate (no nuts!) which helped some.

 

I would rate this project a 6 in taste (slight toxic aftertaste... yall know what I am talking about ) and a 10 for ease.

 

So.

Maybe I have lead a sheltered life (before Pinterest fer sure) but was surprised that if you have a cake mix in the pantry..... you can make cookies!

A popular one in our home is a spice cake mix, a cup of pumpkin puree and a 1/2 (or maybe even more) of chocolate chips. Combine the mix and pumpkin, Then mix in the chocolate chips. Portion, bake. Surprisingly good and easy.

Hi everyone I want to make baklava but I don't know what type of pan I should use to put balaclava in

They did the pumpkin as a snack cake a couple of weeks ago.

Very tasty treat I felt good about.

Size depending on how many you are making.

What does the recipe say?

Sheet pans are too shallow. Use a baking pan approximately the same size as your phyllo sheet. You need at least an inch or two of height to accommodate the syrup, This is how they have been traditionally made in Greece.

Sheets come in different sizes and depths plus add on collars ....

Altho if it was a pan that would seldom see the light of day a regular home 13X9 "cake pan" would work.

SS not glass.
