We marinate a salmon filet in a spicy bean paste, sesame oil, soy sauce. Then the salmon is grilled, brushed with a glaze and served simply with Jasmine scented rice, and chinese brocolli

Im going to have to try all these!

I do a marinade with soy sauce, honey, lots of garlic and ginger and then broil. Great!

Great suggestions posted. . . 

 

Bake on a bed of sliced onions or leeks, S&P, pats of butter, rosemary sprigs or similar herb, or cumin and coriander, lemon slices, and a squirt of dry white wine. Kinda like this:

 

 

 

That one was served with a baby bok choy/ corn thingie. If that doesn't work - 

 

Let the salmon cool, and break apart in a bowl. Add mayonnaise, (cumin), fresh tarragon, sliced green onions, finely diced carrots and celery, lemon zest, and lightly mash/ fold together. Serve on toast with salted tomato slices and or boston lettuce. 

 

The mustard thingie is a good one as well to counter the strong salmon flavor.

Go to your BBQ supply place and get some alderwood chips; grill the salmon with these added. If he doesn't like it then, give up.;)

 

It's the classic Pacific Northwest preparation.
