Our proposition – simple homemade Reuben
Reuben may be prepared and served in a complex way and baked in different restaurant appliances. However, here is a recipe for a simple homemade sandwich, provided that you have a toaster or a frying pan.
- rye bread
- Swiss cheese
- Russian sauce
Pastrami ideal for serving is the one which has already been steamed over very hot or even boiling water in a tightly covered pot. This way we get warm and crumble meat which is literally melting in your mouth. We cut it in very thin slices. We toast two slices of bread. Then cover with the other bread slice and Voilà! We can enjoy a perfect Reuben sandwich.
