I've previously made a batch of rugelach cookies using this recipe

227g cream cheese @rtp

¾ cup butter @rtp

2 cups plain flour

¼ cup white sugar

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 ½ tsp cinnamon

½ cup strawberry jam

¼ cup apricot jam/marmalade

½  cup raisins, soaked in juice overnight

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 tbsp milk

1.       Cream butter & cheese til pale & fluffy

2.       Gradually add white sugar, salt, vanilla

3.       Sift in flour, mix till combined

4.       Chill dough overnight

5.       Combine brown sugar & cinnamon

6.       On a floured surface, roll out dough into a 9” circle

7.       Mix marmalade & strawberry jam. Heat & strain.

8.       Spread strained jam on dough

9.       Sprinkle over brown sugar mixture & raisins

10.   Cut circle into 12 wedges

11.   Roll up each wedge, place on baking sheet

12.   Chill for 30min

13.   Whisk tgt egg, milk

14.   Brush cookies w egg wash

15.   Bake @180⁰C for 20-25min

but unfortunately it resulted in a really wet sticky dough (before I added the jam). It tastes pretty gud when it came out I suppose except that it was kinda soft and I probably put way too much jam in it. Is it because I live in a hot country & hence my dough melted? I alr chilled the dough overnight though, and unfortunately I don't have an air conditioned kitchen :/
