Angel Food Cake with Cheesecake Center - Is this possible?

Is it possible to put a cheesecake in the middle of angel food cake? I'm kind of worried that the cheesecake is to heavy for angel food cake.

Cheesecake and and angel food cake don't work very well as a Piecaken idea because the fat from the cheesecake delivers a flat or "fallen" angel food cake that is quite dense and unappealing. However, if you bake them both separate and ice them like they are separate layers of a single cake to be served immediately.......that MIGHT work. It's all about the experimenting really.

Worries that are well founded lol.

Maybe glaze the AFC and present on a nice cake stand and make some two bite CC tartlets and serve those on a nice tiered cake stand?

Cover the table with a nice tablecloth and use your best dessert plates and silver.

She will def be impressed.

I realize not everyone has a cabinet full of "nice" china and silver....they can however be rented for a fair price and what better time to go overboard?

What if you baked the angel food cake first, then put the finished cake inside the cheese cake batter, then baked them both?

Or small angel food cakes, like in a muffin tin, then set the finished cakes on individual little cheesecakes?

You could bake shallow cheesecake with no crust.

Once set and refrigerated it should be able to be the middle layer in an Angel food layer cake.

Or vice versa, cheesecake discs with an Angel food center.
