Back in the day when I had a lot of trims and the guilt of throwing away all that cake (eggs, butter, milk and expensive flavorings like booze) got to me ....yes I would repurpose the scraps (usually for a dessert for the family) but I never had to freeze as there was usually more than enuf to play with.
I prolly bake less than you do ... and as rum is not my fave libation I would prolly make bourbon balls lol.
