Name this dish!

Hey... I just invented a comfort food item that is sure to become a classic.... Perhaps very soon!

Having an extensive English and New England background, further complicated with a healthy dose is Scottish ancestry and all that is associated with that... Was hungry for some breakfast but, alas, no eggs or bread. Just a few leftovers in the refrigerator.

Inspired by a comfort breakfast dish common in this forsaken land to which I am currently residing - chilaquiles - I invented a New Enland version.

Ladies and gentlemen... Never again eat beans on toast. I present to you beans on chips. In the style of chilaquiles it is potato chip cooked with baked beans. A topping of bacon would be nice but too lazy to make bacon this morning.

But I ask... By what name shall this newly created comfort creation be known?



I ask but one favor. Please do not use this recipe for professional gain. I offer it as a complimentary service for personal enjoyment only. Licensing agreements, however, will be considered.

My name for it is a little long, but I'd call it, "I'm Still Drunk From Last Night, Hungry and Can't See Clearly Enough to Drive to McDonalds Hash"

Um, you need to create a dish worthy of being named. Putting some beans on chips does not make a dish--come on.

Dude, that barely even qualifies as drunk food. I mean, if you put some eggs, some sausage, hot sauce, etc in it at least you'd have something. This looks like you took some beans and spooned them over some chips. Big deal. Now you wanna name for it?

I'm thinking bacon more than sausage, though. Or maybe a nice chunk o pork tummy.

Lol. Yeah I'm sorry, I can't get motivated to collaborate about some old beans and Ruffles. Come at me with something good and I'll help, I promise. But I couldn't sit idly by and let that horror keep perpetuating. 

 

I think sausage would be better, add more flavor, even something spiced like a chorizo or a merguez or something. Bacon is delicious, obviously, but I think that beans, chorizo, hot sauce, chips, and eggs sounds pretty good. Peppers and onions if you got them too. Now we're talking. Maybe some cheese.

I think it is great.

A riff on nachos.

All that is needed to finish it off is a few squirts of that canned cheese (attach a piping tip if you want to get fancy) and peppers.

When I got my first place those were staples along with mustard and home canned pickles from my mom.

Fabio on a Raft. Or in Spanish, Fabio en la Balsa. 

 

Fabio in Latin is "bean farmer."  Starts with an F = Frijoles. 

 

Or just Frijoles on a Raft. 

 

You could go with "Frank on a Raft" if you were to throw some sausage on it.

Haha, I'm just bustin' your chops a bit. I've certainly done things like that before in my life, I just thought it was funny you posted it for consideration and naming and such. 

 

Hell, I still microwave hotdogs when I need something quick and easy. Usually the last thing I want to do at the end of a long day is go home and cook for myself. Cereal, eggs, etc are all common for me.
