What do you have planted so far this year?

I have 3 rows of different lettuce, spinach, scallions, storage onions, peas, radishes, kale from last year came back on its own, 2 rows of radishes in so far and all are up and doing well!

Still to plant: beans, corn, potatoes, herbs, squash, cucumbers, watermelon, sunflowers(I like sunflower seeds!), 60 tomato plants, green peppers, hot peppers(aleppo), brussels sprouts. Waiting for last frost date for MN to pass before these can go in!

My plot at the Grateful Tomato Garden. The one on the right - it needs work. Actually I did a fair bit of weeding since this photo was taken, and I've started to work on a border to define the edge between my plot and the walkway. But no new plants in the ground yet.

Forget the 3 varieties of hops i planted this year. I started brewing my own beer again after a 30 year pause and the prices of hops are nuts! Seed potatoes are cut and drying to go in tomorrow. Doing 5 hills of them in a 15 foot row.

Years ago Karen and I were in Germany in early spring. Had I not been a home brewer, I would have had no idea what those fields with very tall poles topped by some sort of netting were all about. Hop vines can REALLY grow!

I don't have any land to plant anything but I'm trying my hand at growing oregano and Rosemary on my window sill. However I saw a little white fuzz on my Rosemary yesterday and I don't know what to do about it.

That white fuzz on rosemary is annoying. I have the same thing on my rosemary in my backyard. There's not much you can do except to cut the white sprigs... but you can research it further if you want: http://blog.metmuseum.org/cloisters...winter-continued-dealing-with-powdery-mildew/

I have tomatoes that are getting bigger already. I planted carrot seeds that never came out, I think it's not cold enough perhaps. I tried replanting sage from a stem given by a friend, but although it looked like it was going to be alright, it died after 3 weeks.

Other than that I still maintain my oranges, grapefruits, meyer lemons, tangerines, lemongrass, rosemary, bay leaves.... and my parsley is going to seed so I will have to replant some probably (unless it replants itself but I've never experienced that).

Oh and my wife started growing chives and mint on the window sill.

I started tilling our plot on wednesday.  One pass then put the rake on and ran through it then put the tiller back on.  I'll do that two, or three times to chop up the mulch good.  We're in no hurry to plant it's only May.  Last year we planted in May and had 20 rainy days in June.  The only thing that came in were purple tomatillos and man did they come.

My peach tree got ransacked.

It was pretty full with nice size fruits that were still hard green.

Left for the weekend and someone pulled every one of them off.

It wasn't squirrels as they leave a big mess...had to be kids.

Disappointed as this was the first year it really produced.

My basil is turning a little yellow around the bottom. Any suggestions? I planted tomatoes and peppers in the chicken pen where we use to keep chickens. They are growing and have some blooms.
Yellowing can have a few causes.

Over/under watering is one and need for fertilizer is another.

Make sure when you do water the moisture is going deep enuf or the roots will stay near the top and not establish a good healthy plant.

If I suspect this is happening I make deepish holes with the handle of a wooden spoon and flood them.

After a few times of doing that if it is still sick looking I pull it up and start over lol.

First planting of peas are about a foot high and the 2nd planting just barely broke thru the dirt.

Broccoli direct seed and some I started indoors. Also planted green beans, lettuce, corn, pumpkins and cauliflower.

About 3 days ago set out about 20 paste tomatoes, 20 jalapeños, 12 sweet peppers and a dozen basil seedlings.
