Hello, I have been working as a prep cook/line cook for over a year now. The restaurant I work at seems like its failing, no business Three lazy managers, anyways I have a strong desire to work FOH and have asked for it three months ago. The managers keep saying yay ya ya..im totally ignored. Then I talked to the Regional Manager  over a month ago and he was excited for all my ideas and told me I was to start in house training for manager or assist mngr, I have been studying everyday. Now over a month later there is NO response. I have called and text the Reg mgr many times and he keeps saying tomorrow, tomorrow. No wonder this place is going under. Seems like nobody cares. Should I try one more time and go over the

Maybe I will call corporate and try again  or just find another job.  ?

Be honest and upfront sharing your goals with your manager. If he or she values you, they will listen. Develop and agree to SMART (Specific, measurable, agreed upon, realistic and time based) goals. If you can't get to this point, it may be time to move on. It sounds like you are serious and want to make a career out of it. Find someone that is well respected in the field to mentor you. Take the time to plan it out. In the long run, you'll be glad you did. Good luck!
