Shopping lists for Personal Chefs

Just wondering if there are any Personal Chefs out there? I'm curious as to how you prefer to create your shopping lists for your cook dates. Do you write the lists out manually, or do you like generating your lists through an app like Paprika using a mobile device?

Thanks!

When I'm working on my weekly menus, I usually make a handwritten grocery list to take shopping.

I categorize meats, seafood, poultry, then dairy, then fruits and veggies, and lastly miscellaneous.

Thank you for your reply, Chefross.  It seems you're 'old school' like me.  I like my handwritten lists, but may be changing over soon.  I've got all my recipes on an app on my iPad, and most of my cookbooks are now on my kindle app.  I think it's just a matter of time...  You in?

I haven't started my business yet but, I have been using mastercook for many years and the new version allows me to set meals for certain days of the week and transfer the recipe ingredients to a shopping list which I can sync with my phone.

That's great, Rossy.  Does Mastercook allow you to download recipes directly from the internet?  I'm really liking the Paprika app so far.
