So I just started getting into making desserts and I decided to dive into the deep right off the bat and make macarons lol. After my 3rd or 4th attempt i think they look okay? Just that they are rough on top and I don't know how to smooth them out. Help please.
Those look great. Don't be too hard on yourself. I think the roughness is probably just slightly bigger flecks of almond flour. I wouldn't worry about it.
To get the perfect shiney smooth surface of a proper macaron you will need to sift the almond flour and confectioners sugar two to three times to get the larger chunks out and incorporate the dry ingredients thoroughly. Give that shot and see where it takes you. Other than that you are doing great and way to go!! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif
