I stumbled across this website while randomly searching things on google. I figured I'd join and learn some new things.

No culinary school background, everything I know I learned from the hands on approach. I have about 9 years experience in the kitchen. I started at the bottom, in the dish pit, and worked up kitchen manager at a local steakhouse, where I held that position for about 4 years. Currently, I'm working at a retirement home as the AM cook/kitchen manager's right hand man. Yet again, I started from the dish pit to get a foot in and gradually worked up the ladder.

One thing I really enjoy making, is cheesecakes. I have come up with many different cheesecake recipes while employed at the steakhouse. My white chocolate eggnog cheesecake was always quite the hit around Christmas time.

I'm going to be moving to Florida soon. Really looking forward to the new area, new lifestyle, and of course a new career in the field.
