This month's challenge topic is 'bread'. I don't think this has come up before. Any sort of bread you like: flatbread, sourdough, sweet breads, French bread etc. To kick things off, here's a rye bread loaf I made earlier:
Oddly enough I had a gyro for lunch yesterday and was thinking I should try home made pitas cooked on a charcoal grill. Perhaps I'll actually get an entry posted for this month's challenge.
An afternoon project.
Bread on wheat, olive oil and honey.
Let it rise three times before it goes into the oven.
Dont like to bake, but the buschettas turned out great and was totally worth it.
Banana bread. I use a recipe with a nice trick that gets banana bread from that meh stuff mom make as a kid to what it always seemed like it could be. The trick is to microwave the bananas, reduce the resulting juice to intensify the flavor, and then mix it back into the smashed banana. Comes out great.

Nice looking banana bread. I always make banana bread when the bananas are almost black. Really intense banana flavor. At what stage of ripeness do you wait for? Do you only zap half the bananas and mash the rest?

I have a recipe I like to use but I'd love to see ATK's version!
