Baking Soda query

Hi Friends, just started baking, wanna know if I use just baking soda is correct ratio instead of Baking Powder and put 3-4 drops of lime juice/vinegar in the dough, will my job be done? Once I put this togather, do I have oven one minute to put the batter in hot oven or it wont work coz bubbles start forming very soon.

You may be confusing baking powder with baking soda.

Sorry I must be behind but what are you making?

A full recipe including instructions would be a huge help here.
