Hello everyone, just joined and am looking for advice. I have always had a knack for food and preparing food but have never done it professionally. Right out of high school I became an automotive technician which was something I really enjoyed doing. I've been working on cars for over ten years now but am very tired of the industry and would like to change career paths. I have been looking into becoming a chef and one day opening a restaurant of my own. I currently do not have time to go to a school full time due to having bills and such and having to work full time to support paying for such. I have been looking into doing the online course offered from escoffer. It looks to be a decent program that would teach me about becoming a chef and resistant management. Does anyone have any suggestions on progressing into that career without having to leave my job now? Thanks in advance.
