Hello! I love pumpkin carving with my family but I never know how to utilize the pumpkin afterwards. Does anyone have any suggestions for cooking or baking with pumpkin?

I didn't know you could eat a pumpkin after it's been carved and set out for decoration. Isn't it rotted?
Agreed.

Plus there is the fact that the least flavorful example of this popular squash are the big ones that are marketed for Halloween decorations.

You can toast the seeds if you can get to it before they go all nasty but I don't even bother with that unless someone asks for them.

The best for cooking are the small 1-2 pound varieties.
