Over 2 million Calphalon knives sold individually and in sets made between August 2008 and March 2016 have been recalled in the U.S. and Canada for a potential laceration hazard caused by breakage that can occur during use.
See the full Calphalon knife recall list from the Consumer Product Safety Commission and for next steps on having the knives replaced.
Do you have concerns about other items being recalled? Check before you buy at www.cpsc.gov/Recalls.
Their Unison pans are constructed well metal-wise, but the ceramic coating, which starts off wonderfully 0-stick, degrades to useless with a few months regular use. They will still work for searing steak if seasoned first, not a real consolation.
