Greetings all!

I need help making a decision on which knife brand to start my collection with. I've recently come into possession of a Henckels Zwilling Pro 8" Stainless Steel Chef's Knife and a Wusthof Classic 8" Stainless Steel Cook's Knife through the passing of a family member. Like I stated I want to use one of these as foundation of my collection. Both are practically brand new and only used a half a dozen times. They both feel great in my hand and everything I've read puts them on a very level playing field quality wise. Whichever knife I do not choose goes to my brother hence the need for a decision (I'm the oldest so I get first choice lol). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Go with whichever one you like better.

Personally, all other things being equal, I'd take the one which doesn't have a full fingerguard bolster. Especially on stainless knives, it's slow work grinding those down so that you can sharpen without messing up the profile over time

Whichever one you get, treat it right and make sure you're prepared to keep it sharp.
