double checking

Just need to get a second opinion, I've got some recipes that call for biscuit mix, well isn't that just the same as if I were to take a biscuit recipe and just mix up the dry ingredients ??

Not quite. I think products like Bisquick have some sort of shortening already added. And buttermilk powder if they are the buttermilk variety.

You might just want to hop over to a supermarket and have a look at the ingredient list (skip over the --glyceriedes etc., though :D )
