I had heard of an individual, a father of two, that was in need of a kidney transplant. I stepped up to the plate to be a possible donor and was a perfect match. Two days prior to the surgery, I met this man and his wife for the first time at their house for dinner. I brought dessert: a chocolate-chocolate chip with walnut cake, shaped like kidneys, using Twizzlers for arteries, veins and ureters. The cake was a hit and deliciious. By the way, he (the recipient) and I (the donor) are doing very well in our recovery!!
