||Born on the day that JFK announced the formation of the Peace Corp Volunteers, I learned to walk in Ghana as my father was a tropical disease specialist assigned to the first group of PCVs to go abroad. I later attended elementary school in Thailand and junior high in El Salvador. As an adult I spent 7 years working in Saudi Arabia and 1 in Beirut, Lebanon. I was an elementary teacher for 17 years before pursuing a culinary arts degree and entering the food service industry. I have worked as a personal chef, server, host, line cook, breakfast chef, working chef, and restaurant manager. I am presently employed as a high school culinary arts instructor.
|Interests (Hobbies, favorite activities, etc.):
||I enjoy building fresh water ponds, sculpting realistic looking "food" from oil & lye or glycerine soaps, and working as a community volunteer. I am presently working at a local food bank. I have also been a Red Cross Volunteer and a fire fighter.
