||Trained as an architect, I am a former hotel/resort planner and food & beverage facility designer; the 9/11 incident and current downturn of the economy halted most of my work. I turned to the alternative skills I know best: cooking and culinary technology/technique (Harold McGee is a hero!).
|Interests (Hobbies, favorite activities, etc.):
||Cooking; I sous-chef for a friend who does catering. I enjoy visiting museums and art galleries in DC. And, I love eating in great restaurants!
|What I do for a living:
||I am a primary sales associate at the Arlington VA location of Sur La Table, a Seattle-based chain of cooking equipment/tabletop stores. I advise customers on sales and proper use/care of equipment as well as dispensing basic culinary advice.
