||I Just Like Food
||I am an avid cook, and cookbook reviewer. I grew up in the food industry, my family owned restaurants, and night clubs in Salt Lake City. I have been to culinary schools, but have not graduated yet. I move a whole lot, with my husband in the military, and have had to change my focus. My current goal is to get a degree in nutrition, and be a private chef. I am married, with 3 boys, 3 cats, and a greyhound at home right now. I love to garden, and try to do it no matter where I live. In Korea I had a huge tomato plant hanging off of my balcony, as well as my herbs that grew like crazy. Missouri was great, you plant it, it grows! Now I am in Colorado where the short growing season and high altitde have me planting in pots on my balcony, and deck once again. There is nothing like freshly grown herbs, and vegetables. I just harvested some of my blackberries and they are soo good fresh!
I also foster greyhounds. This is a very rewarding thing to do. Once greyhounds are retired they are picked up by local groups that take them in and teach them how to be pets. I get to teach them how to go up and down stairs, what a reflection is, where to go potty, what a soft doggy bed is, and what a toy is. It is a lot of fun to see them try things for the first time. The hardest things is letting them go when they get adopted to their forever homes.
