Born and raised in south Texas. Naturally was heavily exposed to the Hispanic community and attended many Quinceaneras, formal Catholic weddings and many, many fiestas (Saint's naming days, Cinco de Mayo's, you name it, we threw a party, lol) ! Was always fascinated by the huge many tiered, heavily piped ( cannot forget to add the ruffles!) cakes, (OH! OH! don't leave out the satellites, stairstep bridges with the little wedding party figures and the fountain)! Hmm. Dating myself here. Odd that I retired doing only fondant enrobed creations with minimal decos. Note to self, talk to therapist re: above comment. |

Voracious reader. Need to add here that I will devour any book, but will never own a Kindle or any other "pad" type device. I like the feel of a book in my hands. Wade fishing, learning other culture's traditions thru food and art. Hate to dust. |

That was a short retirement. After only 2 years doing some dessert tables for my bro, he has booked at least one wedding per week for the entire summer. Outrageous $ and I am greedy, ;-) |
